I feel art should move and speak to you. When I select something to paint I feel something for that scene. An artist's tools are color and line to try to convey the emotion they are feeling when they are creating their work. And the abstracts come from the soul. If I can make you feel something and move you when you view my work I feel I have been successful in my efforts.
I have studied from my husband RL Lathrop and taken workshops from Wyatt LeGrand, Pam Newell & Mary Ann Davis. I have also been very fortunate in that some really incredible artists have been kind enough to allow me to paint with and learn from them. Just a few of them are Dan & Tommy Woodson, Phil Erbaugh & Lisa Pfeninger,.

Art Education: Basically self taught. I have taken workshops and demos with many of my favorite local artists, and read books and magazines to aid with improvement of my work. I have studied with or taken workshops with: Bob Brubaker, Homer Hacker, Barbara Martin, Rosie McNees, Thelma Frame, Dan Woodson, Tom Woodson, Ray Hassard, and many other talented Artists.
